A Modern Classic - Jake Kuzyk's Take on an All-Gendered Freestyle Snowboard
The Medium by Jake Kuzyk, completely redesigned for modern freestyle snowboarding. K2 Snowboarding Pro Rider Jake Kuzyk is dedicated to the classics...a classic, round, twin, tip and tail, a classic (mostly) camber profile, and a predictable flex pattern. We took all these elements into account when heading into the workshop and designing the all-new K2 Medium for the â23/24 season.
Working with Jake Kuzyk and Kennedi Deck, we focused on creating a tool with an all-inclusive sizing, flex pattern, and design aesthetic. The Medium starts at a 141cm length and maxes out at 159cm.
A deep sidecut between the feet and a smooth blend zone in the tip and tail make the medium feel more stable than in years past (wider waist width, yes!), but still nimble for those low-speed maneuvers in the streets.
We worked alongside jake to engineer our new Carbon Backboneâ¢, a pre-cambered carbon stringer that runs form tip to tail, giving Jake all of the snap that he needs without the extra stiffness that he doesnât.
Jake worked on this graphic from start to finish with China-born Canadian-based DJ and artist hainafromchina; digitally rendered and created in the digital atmosphere - the 2025 Medium blends a little bit of tough energy and softer hints to make a piece of art for you to enjoy beneath your feet.

BAP Core A tri-blend wood core harnesses the rebound, strength, and feel of sustainably harvested Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia timber species.
Sintered 4000 Base Our Sintered 4000 base absorbs wax deep into the material for relentless glide and unrivaled durability.
Triax Glass: A fiberglass weave intersecting at three angles provides extra torsional stiffness and overall strength.
Carbon Darkwebâ¢: Carbon stringers extend at 45º angles from the inserts in an âXâ pattern, adding responsiveness and stability at all speeds.
Carbon Backboneâ¢: A pre-cambered carbon inlay centered between the inserts specifically designed to add snap and pop to every ollie and takeoff.
Hybridtech⢠Construction: Backed by years of rigorous testing, Hybritech⢠is the lightest weight, most durable snowboard construction on the market. Removing all excess sidewall material in the tip and tail and adding a 3D capped edge to increase the bond strength of the fiberglass and decrease the swing weight of the board is what makes Hybritech so revolutionary. Our boards will spin faster, maneuver easier, and last longer than any other boards on the market.
