Button Cheese Grater A Side Surf Fin
One fin that can either ride tight or loose depending on which side of the board you put it on. You know that sensation when a beautiful block of Wisconsin's finest is about to get shredded through the grater? Each slice so fluidly created by a simple motion. Ever wonder what would happen with that same contraption on the water? Magical things.
Cheese Grater Fin Riding Style
Mad scientists in tiny white lab coats created a fin with side perforations allowing small particles of water to pierce through the side of the fin. The result is a set of fins that would ride loose on one setting, and really locked in when those same two fins were reversed. A first of its kind when a symmetrical fin with asymmetrical features alters the flow of the water either to the center of the board or the outside of the board.
A Side Configuration
When the painted white rail faces towards the rail of the board, cutouts alter water from the inside and redirect it towards the outside. This puts extra pressure on the rail and makes the board feel more locked in while turning.
B Side Configuration
Switch the fins so the painted white rail faces towards the center fin (not the rail). Water is pulled towards the middle of the board, making it feel floaty and free through a turn.
Versatile Performance
One set of 3.5" fins that can ride like 2.5" fins or 4.5" fins depending on which way the holes are moving the direction of the water.
Carbon Epoxy Construction
Our stiffest, most responsive construction for maximum performance and durability.
Fin Placement
Fin Setup
Step 1
Line up fins in the fin box.
Step 2

Step 3
After you hear the snap, double check the fin is engaged and go ride.

Push the button all the way down.
Step 2
Grab fin with other hand with even lift, pull the fin up.
Step 3
Put a new fin in and go ride again!
The Button Fin System
This patent pending design with over 5 years of development is now proudly available on several models. Typically with a fin attachment system the rider has to generate the force to release the fin. With The Button the energy comes from the internal design - at your disposal for an effortless release with a simple press of a button.
